Frequently Asked Questions

How will I access the enhanced model and the legacy version?
You’ll see a new dropdown menu at the top of your dashboard that lets you choose between Phoenix  (enhanced) and Griffin (legacy).

When you switch between models, the charts will automatically refresh to show the selected version’s data. The default setting will always display Phoenix, ensuring you’re viewing the most current and optimized insights. Griffin will remain available for historical comparison.

How long will both models be available?
Both models will be accessible during a two-year overlap period to make side-by-side comparisons seamless:

  • Griffin (current) model: Active for data from January 2023 through December 2025

  • Phoenix (enhanced) model: Covers data from January 2024 onward and will continue to power all future reporting.

After December 2025, Griffin will be frozen in time, you’ll still be able to view it, but it will no longer update. Phoenix will remain the ongoing, fully supported model.

What is the look-back window for each model?

  • Griffin model: Displays data from January 2023 to December 2025

  • Phoenix model: Displays data from January 2024 to present, with continuous updates going forward.

How will I know which model I’m viewing?
From your Arrivalist Client Portal, you will notice a new dropdown menu at the top of your dashboard that allows you to select between two models:

  • Phoenix – the enhanced model that powers all new visitation reporting

  • Griffin – the legacy model that will remain available for historical reference

When you toggle between these models, charts will automatically update to reflect the selected model’s data and date range. The default view will always display Phoenix, ensuring you’re seeing the most current, optimized insights.

Why is Arrivalist making this enhancement?
This is part of our long-term roadmap to continually improve the quality, speed, and usability of our platform. Adding an additional source and refining our model ensures Arrivalist remains the leader in visitation intelligence in the travel and tourism industry.

Do I need to take any action?
No action is required. The enhancement will roll out automatically, ensuring a smooth transition and consistent reporting experience.

When will this go live?
The enhanced model is scheduled to launch in January 2026, with ongoing improvements continuing afterward.

Will Maryland visitation estimates be included in this panel?

No; in compliance with Maryland privacy law, Arrivalist does not publish geolocation data on Maryland residents effective October 2025.

Will this be the final panel update?

Due to the ever-shifting location data and privacy landscape, along with the inherent fluctuations in device data captured in SDKs, Arrivalist is committed to continued innovations for the most accurate estimates possible from this source.

Timeline

  • End of 2025: Legacy Griffin model frozen and available for historical reference.

  • Now: Beta testing and model validation underway

  • January 2026: Public launch of the enhanced model

We’ll share more details closer to launch, including walkthroughs and more.
